Library databases are basically a digital way of storing encyclopedia, magazine, and newspaper articles--plus lots of other good stuff.  Before you head to Google, take a look at this:

Purpose: for students doing research Purpose: many different reasons
Available to anyone with a library card Available to anyone
Easy to cite and even may create the citation for you You must piece together the citation
